Although Corps weapons Medium Regiments were always placed under command of a (usually Infantry) Division. A Corps typically (from 1943 on) had 1 Medium Regiment of 5.5" Gun/Howitzers for each of it's Infantry Divisions, and 1 or more Medium Regiments with 4.5" Guns for Counterbattery work directly under Corps control.
